1. STICKING HANDICRAFT FELT
Our handicraft felt is available in around 20 different colours, from white to Pacific blue to chocolate brown and black. But what is the best way of sticking our felt? That’s easy! Use our folia glue stick, as this doesn’t leave any marks when gluing, and is quick and clean.
2. STICKING TRANSPARENT PAPER
We offer our transparent paper in amusing and creative designs. Whatever the occasion – you have a huge selection with us! However, it gets interesting when you would like to stick the transparent paper. Here, we recommend either double-sided adhesive tape which is placed in an invisible position, or spray adhesives.
3. STICKING ON MOSAIC TILES
You can find a large selection of mosaic tiles in a wide variety of colours at folia®. These allow you to create wonderful mosaics yourself. We recommend that you use our mosaic glue for sticking on the tiles. The best way to do this is to make a small dot in the middle, as our mosaic glue is evenly distributed beneath the tile when you press on it. You can, however, also attach the tiles to double-sided adhesive tape, but then grouting is no longer possible.
4. A VARIETY OF GLITTER WORK AND STICKING TECHNIQUES IN A VIDEO
A somewhat greater challenge is presented by sticking with glitter. We offer a variety of glitter sets. You can find a video which provides a good explanation of the approach here
5. COLOURFUL DIVERSITY - CREATIVE USE OF WASHI TAPES
We extend our range of washi tapes every year and introduce new designs. These little helpers are versatile, stick on almost every background, above all, are easy to remove again.
6. DECORATIVE PUNCHING AND EMBOSSING – WHAT IS THERE TO BEAR IN MIND?
With our motif embossers/motif punchers, there is a lot of choice at your disposal. If, for example, you want to punch thin transparent paper, we recommend that you lay this paper between two thin sheets of DIN A4, so that the light transparent paper is not damaged. Felt can, unfortunately, not be punched! Use the punched material for confetti, for sticking on cards or as scattered decorations on a table. The motif punchers can, however, also be used for border decoration.
7. DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MOTIF CARD AND MOTIF PAPER
Motif card is stable card which is particularly suitable for the production of boxes, as cards or window pictures. For covering surfaces, please use the lighter motif paper.
8. STICKING TIPS FOR CORRUGATED CARDBOARD
If you want to stick something to corrugated cardboard, we advise either using hot glue or double-sided adhesive tape, as the glue sticks in the peaks, but not in the troughs of the surface.
9. COLOURING EGGS WITH CREPE PAPER
Our crepe paper is not water-resistant and should, therefore, not be used for exterior decorations. However, it may be used for colouring eggs with a batik look if the paper is damp. Simply scrunch it up and dab the egg with it. Please do not use any textiles for this and ensure that you are wearing gloves. What is possible, however, is colouring eggs or the creation of batik looks on textiles if the paper is wet. Simply scrunch it up and apply it.
10. CREATIVE EMBOSSING AND PRESSING WORK
Embossing foil is perfectly suited for embossing and pressing work. The material is slightly inflexible and very strong, which is why children, in particular, should take care that they do not cut themselves on the corners. The aluminium foil with a paper core, on the other hand, can easily be folded and permanently bent into shape. It is suitable for a variety of handicrafts.
11. HANDLING TISSUE PAPER – WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO BEAR IN MIND?
Our tissue paper is available in 15 different colours/versions. For the greatest possible handicrafts fun, we advise you not to use any liquid adhesives. These soak through and may make the handicrafts project appear unattractive. For this reason, we recommend our glue stick.
12. MORE STABILITY FOR 3D PUZZLE – LITTLE TIP
Our 3D Modellogic series for building yourself ranges from the animal kingdom to a variety of rooms to whole tourist attractions of top international cities. The individual parts are made from reinforced and printed cardboard with a foam core, are stable and are easy to put together according to the instructions. If you want to stabilise your model for the long term, simply use one drop of universal adhesive between the individual parts.
13. LEPORELLOS – MORE THAN JUST CARDS
Leporellos made from coloured card are not only suitable for making creative and individual greetings cards. They can also be used as picture strut mounts, menu cards or calendars. There are no limits to your creativity.
