Forget the hobby horse—this year it’s time to hop! These cute stick bunnies are the perfect DIY project for little Easter fans. Grab your scissors and make yourself a little companion to help you hunt for Easter eggs and bring some extra springtime joy.
Print the template at 100% scale, tape it together along the marked edges, and cut out all the pieces.
Transfer the outlines onto paper or cardstock: the two bunny heads, the forehead piece, the inner ears, the nose, as well as the eyes, cheeks, and mouth—each in duplicate.
Then cut out all the pieces. You will also need a rectangle measuring 6 × 10 cm to attach the stick.
Take one bunny head and apply double-sided tape all the way around the edge—except for the bottom opening. Then place the stick on it so that it extends about 6–7 cm into the head. Apply plenty of glue to the stick and your cardboard rectangle, and secure the stick by pressing the rectangle firmly in place.
Remove the backing from the double-sided tape and attach the second bunny head on top so that the stick is hidden inside.
Now glue on all the individual pieces. Fold the forehead piece and the nose lengthwise once and glue them over the top edge.
Glue the inner ear pieces onto the ears and shape them slightly to give a three-dimensional effect. Join them together at the glue tab.
Draw small dots or whiskers on the nose.
If you like, you can add a small bow: cut the glitter foil once
lengthwise and once crosswise, gather the strip, secure it with tape, and glue it on.
