DIY aluminum stamping foil pendant
What you need:
- folia template
- folia aluminum embossing foil
- folia craft scissors
- folia Washitape
- folia embossing pen
- folia craft felt
- folia metallic embroidery thread
Definitely too good for the kitchen! Because our shimmering embossed aluminum foil only shows what it's really made of on the craft table. When it shines, sparkles and glitters in the most beautiful metallic shades, it becomes a little DIY superstar in no time at all. Every dab, every little indentation and every fine line creates a pattern that looks like it has come straight from an artist's workshop.
It's child's play to conjure up great designs in the foil with a prickle pen. Sometimes delicate, sometimes powerful, sometimes very playful. And if you prefer embossing to tingling, simply grab the embossing pen and let the lines dance gently across the metallic surface. The result? Impressive reliefs that shimmer beautifully in the light and are guaranteed to catch the eye. The best thing about it: whether big or small, everyone can have fun with stamping and embossing. It also trains fine motor skills, concentration and dexterity. And hand on heart: sometimes it's just really good to let off a little creative steam while you're stamping. Whether as a pendant, card motif, small decoration or sparkling work of art, your DIY embossing aluminium foil cuts a brilliant figure everywhere.
Attach the template to the DIY aluminum embossing foil with washi tape.
Lay three layers of felt (3.5 mm thick) on top of each other as a pricking and embossing base.
Trace the template with the embossing tool. The thickest tip (2 mm) is best suited for wider lines or areas. For finer lines, use the 1.3 or 0.8 mm thick tip. If you want to emboss small holes, it is best to use the 0.3 mm thick tip.
Once you have traced all the lines, you can remove the template and cut out the pendant.
Now tie a piece of metallic thread to your pendant and your aluminum DIY is finished.
