Eye Lantern
Spooky on a Stick!
Double the eyes, double the fright! Our glowing googly eyes come as a pair and are ready to light up the spooky night. With just a few materials, some simple steps and no tricky crafting tricks, these two are ready in no time. Easy peasy and frightfully cute!
Cut a 14 cm circle from the mobile film and glue it to the inside of the cheese box lid, covering the opening.
Cut a 10 cm circle from black cardstock to make the pupil. Thread a needle with nylon thread and pull it through the top edge of the pupil. Attach the thread to the inside edge of the lid so the pupil can hang and swing freely.
Cut a 14 cm circle from white translucent paper and attach it to the inside of the lid using adhesive foam pads. Make sure there is enough space for the pupil to swing freely between the mobile film and the translucent paper.
Attach the battery pack of the fairy lights to the bottom of the cheese box and arrange the lights evenly inside.
Close the cheese box. Cut several rectangles (4 × 2 cm) from black cardstock to make the eyelashes and glue them around the outer edge of the box.
Finally, attach the lantern stick – and you‘re ready for a spooky night out!
