Upcycling canned flower pots
What you need:
- folia template
- folia craft scissors
- folia chalk colors
- folia foam rubber
- folia craft glue
- Tin cans
With a little color at home, the good mood comes all by itself. Whether you're an interior lover or a plant lover - our DIY tin can upcycling is guaranteed to make your creative heart beat faster. The cute little flower pots are not only sustainable and particularly kind to the environment, the colorful explosion of color ensures a good mood in both summer and winter. The best thing about it: you can give free rein to your creativity when crafting and combine the individual pieces as you wish.
Simply choose foam rubber sheets in your favorite colors, grab a few empty tin cans and off you go. With our free crafting template, you can easily make the colorful faces and create unique works of art with a real wow effect. The straight shapes are also ideal for crafting with children and encourage creative skills in a playful way. So before the cans go in the bin next time, always remember what wonderful upcycling projects you could conjure up from them. A little tip at the end: The DIY canning pots are of course not only a real eye-catcher as a new home for your favourite plants, but also look great on your desk for storing your craft materials. Remove the label from your empty tin cans. (Tip: With warm water and a little washing-up liquid, even the stubborn adhesive residue can be easily removed)
Paint the tin cans with the chalk paints. Repeat this step until you have achieved the desired opacity. Very important: Wait until the paint has dried properly.
Print out the template for the DIY upcycling flower pots and cut out the templates.
Place your cut-out templates on the foam rubber and transfer the outlines with a pencil.
Cut out your templates along the drawn lines.
Apply the craft glue to the back of the templates and stick them onto your painted tin cans.
