Are lanterns not your thing? But this one gallops straight into everyone's heart. A simple lantern can hide a real wonder creature. With our rainbow transparent paper, the play of light is transformed in an instant into a radiant unicorn that is just waiting to trot through the dark with the youngest adventurers. As soon as the LED light inside turns on, the colors start dancing and the little mythical creature shows all its magic as dusk falls. A glowing horn, colorful paper and a friendly look - every evening walk becomes a magical mini fairy tale.
And the best thing of all: The crafting is absolutely child's play. All you need is tracing paper, a few careful cuts, glue and thread and you'll be holding your very own rainbow unicorn in your hands. Whether for a lantern walk, a cozy evening at home or as a glittering decoration in the children's room - this lantern will make your eyes sparkle and your imagination run wild. So grab some paper, make the colors glow, switch on the light and off you go on your very own unicorn gallop through the night.
Schritt 1
Fold the blank at the folds and pin it together to form a lantern. Cut out the window cut-outs and cut out the two ears according to the template.
Schritt 2
Cut the mane elements from the Rainbow tracing paper according to the template.
Schritt 3
Cut three 10 x 7 cm rectangles from the Rainbow tracing paper and stick them to the inside of the two side windows and the top window of the lantern. Cut out an 8 x 8 cm square for the front (nose) and use it to close the window from the inside.
Schritt 4
Attach the ears to the top corner of the blank, opposite the square window side. Use an adhesive pad to bring the ears into a protruding position.
Schritt 5
Glue the eyes and cheeks cut out of cardboard or clay paper to the sides of the tracing paper and the nostril and mouth to the bottom corners of the blank.
Schritt 6
Remove the cut-out at the back of the head and connect the head to the lantern rod using a rubber band. To do this, thread the bent rubber band with its round ends through the top and bottom openings and push the lantern stick through so that it sticks out slightly above the blank.
Schritt 7
Cut out the round hair elements according to the template. Fold and glue them in the middle around the lantern stick.
Schritt 8
Cut the hair element at the height of the elastic band in half and stick it to the side of the rod using double-sided adhesive tape. Position the hair elements so that there is about 7 - 10 cm of rod left at the top.
Schritt 9
Cut the horn out of iridescent paper and roll it. Place on top of the stick like a little hat, then arrange the whole stick so that the horn sits on the blank and glue in place.
Schritt 10
Stick the self-adhesive LED light from below through the opening on the rear side in the middle of the rubber. Switch it on and off through the lower opening.
